Stainless Steel 321H pipes can handle temperatures between 1750°F and 2050°F (954°C – 1121°C) and are cooled by water quenching or air cooling. Our Stainless Steel 321 seamless pipes can be stress-relief annealed between 450°C and 800°C without the risk of inter-granular corrosion due to carbide precipitation. Although Stainless Steel 321 has slightly less corrosion resistance than Alloy 302 or 304 in atmospheric conditions, it is still an excellent and cost-effective choice for many applications, including food processing and aerospace. Its titanium content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding, making it as weldable as Stainless Steel 304 and 304L.
