Delta Steel offers a wide range of Duplex stainless steel plates and sheets, including grades like LDX 2101®, 2304, 2205, 2507, 31803, 32750, and 32760. These products are designed to meet demanding requirements for corrosion resistance and high strength.
Duplex stainless steel contains high chromium (18-28%) and low to moderate nickel (1.5-8%). This unique mix, along with a balanced structure of ferrite and austenite, gives duplex stainless steel its excellent corrosion resistance and strong mechanical properties.
LDX 2101® is a low-nickel duplex stainless steel with strength much higher than 304, allowing for thinner sections and cost savings. Alloys 2304 and 2205/31803 are popular choices, known for their strong resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking.
“Super” duplex grades, like Alloy 2507, offer even greater resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion due to higher levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen compared to standard 300-series stainless steels or regular duplex alloys. Alloy 2507 is the most common “super” duplex option.
