321 Stainless Steel Round Bar Manufacturers in India

Grade 321 stainless steel is part of the 300 series austenitic family. Like other 300 series alloys, the JIS SUS 321 black bar offers strong mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. Its composition is similar to grade 304 but includes titanium, which helps stabilize the alloy during welding.

Titanium forms titanium carbides at the weld seams, preventing carbide precipitation, which enhances the material’s resistance to intergranular corrosion. This makes the grain boundaries of alloy 321 rods resistant to sensitization. Titanium also boosts the mechanical properties of the ASTM A276 type 321 flat bar, especially at high temperatures, while maintaining yield strength and impact resistance.

Both grade 321 and ASTM A479 UNS S32100 hex bars perform well in cryogenic conditions. These environments require materials with good impact strength and mechanical properties, achieved by alloying metals like chromium and nickel, with small amounts of manganese and titanium.

The main reason buyers choose AISI 321 threaded bar is its superior creep strength at high temperatures. While alloys like 304 may fail under such conditions, grade 321 bright bars continue to perform well and provide long-lasting durability.
